Film synopsis: Barbara′s son Abram, a twenty-year-old mechanic, is homosexual. In the small Bavarian village where he lives this cannot be hidden for long. Wherever Abram goes, he is abused and driven away.

At the beginning he takes it calmly, but when Hannelore tells everybody that she is pregnant with Abram′s child, the situation escalates. In a fit of rage, the young man strangles Hannelore and is consequently chased like an animal by the villagers.

"Jagdszenen aus Niederbayern" ("Hunting Scenes from Bavaria") was digitized by Edison Filgesellschaft mbH as part of the film heritage funding program "Förderprogramm Filmerbe" (FFE) in 2019.

filmportal.de, the central internet platform for German cinema and a department of DFF - Deutsches Filminstitut & Filmmuseum, documents the progress and results of "Förderprogramm Filmerbe", which is funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media, the German federal states and the German Federal Film Board. The first five minutes of feature-length films digitized with funding from the FFE are presented on filmportal.de to document the successful completion of the respective project.

Das Förderprogramm Filmerbe (FFE) von BKM, den Ländern und FFA stellt seit dem 1. Januar 2019 für den Zeitraum von zehn Jahren jährlich bis zu 10 Millionen Euro für die Digitalisierung von Kinofilmen zur Verfügung.
