Peter Gersina was born in Bregenz, Austria in 1962. He worked as a media artist, specializing in the creative connection of art, commerce and communication. Between 1985 and 2000, he conceptualised more than 80 international exhibitions dedicated to themes like "Collective Souvenir", "Original and Fake", "Art and Advertisement" or, like at the documenta X in 1997, "First Aid for Bad Art".
In 1988, Peter Gersina"s screenplay for the hit comedy "Das merkwürdige Verhalten geschlechtsreifer Großstädter zur Paarungszeit" marked his debut in the field of professional film production. This was followed by "Zsa Zsa" (2001), which he wrote and directed, and "Vienna", a tragicomic buddy movie about the friendship between a blind art historian, a disgruntled Jazz genius and an out-of-work grave digger. In 2004, he scored another hit with the teen romp "Mädchen, Mädchen 2 – Loft oder Liebe". He subsequently worked mainly in television, writing and directing for several high-profile productions. In 2010, he returned to the big screen with the adaptation of the popular childrens" book series "Tiger Team".
