15-year-old highly gifted Ada has skipped two grades as is perceived as an outsider by her classmates. When all of a sudden Alev shows up, her life changes dramatically. She is fascinated by the intelligence and ingenuity of the charismatic boy but he is playing a dark game she does not seem to be up to. "Spieltrieb" is an intensive film adaptation of Juli Zeh's best-selling novel exploring the abysses of passion and obsession, power and manipulation.
