Child′s Play

The experiences of a child in a German suburb during one summer in the 1960s: Although Micha has got good grades and is about to go to grammar school, he is anything but lucky in his family. His choleric father and his mother, who is clearly showing more affection for his favoured younger brother, don′t leave much room for Micha. Even trips with his friend Kalli and discovering his own sexuality cannot distract from his family problems. The situation sharpens, when his mother leaves the family with Michas younger brother. In vain, Micha tries to bring his family back together by means of forged letters but his failed attempt at salvage leads to a disaster.
