The dubious "event manager" Ingo surreptitiously acquires the highly prestigious task to organise a charity event for the golf club of a small town in the Ruhr region. As "VIP" he flies in the old burnt out Hollywood star Douglas Burnett. At first the provincial money bags are all deeply impressed by this flashy "super star" from America. Ingo has to now make sure that this wonderful appearance is kept up until the end of the gala. Yet, in the light of Burnett’s excessive and decadent lifestyle, this isn’t exactly easy….
