Tom Schuhmann, the main protagonist of this black comedy, is growing up in a family that behaves more than "neurotic": His parents are both teachers and radical advocates for ecological awareness, environmental protection, organic food and holistic ways of life. Tom, who as a result of this environment also suffers from mild neuroses and phobias, has always been the problem child of his overprotective parents – although the young man is the only still partly reasonable family member. When one day a mysterious ice block strikes the Schuhmann′s home, the family, that is well prepared against all odds, flees to the in-house air raid shelter. Only Tom, who has fallen in love with the adventurous Lucie, takes the chance to break out of this oppressive family environment. But his clinging mother will not let her little son leave so easily.
