Summary
Musician Leila lives in Brussels with her boyfriend Antoine. When Antoine unexpectedly leaves her for another woman, a heartbroken Leila relocates from Belgium to Berlin. She also swears to herself that she will send Antoine pictures of her new and happy life. Alas, once in Berlin, she mostly meets people who suffer from a similar fate. Therefore Leila moves on, first to Lisbon, than to Cairo. The only constant in her restless life is her music. Wherever she goes, she meets new, interesting people, but also old acquaintances. Over time, she gradually recovers from the break-up…The story of "Berlin Telegram" is largely an autobiographical account by director and protagonist Leila Albayaty.
