Summary
Berlin Ecke Bundesplatz - A Baker on the Bread Line
The Dahms family has been running a bakery on Bundesplatz since 1980. They epitomise the small, modest artisan, are content, tolerant and respected. One day Mr Dahms becomes seriously ill. The family has to sell the bakery and he dies of cancer of the larynx. Mrs Dahms struggles to get by on social benefits and the help of food charity 'Berliner Tafel' without losing her optimism …
