Houwelandt - Ein Roman entsteht

In "Houwelandt", director Jörg Adolph documented the whole story of the making and the marketing of a novel – from the author’s first pages of text to the publisher’s advertising strategy. Adolph accompanied author John von Düffel for 17 months and kept track of his work on the novel "Houwelandt". Thus, all steps and stages of the novel are covered in the film: intense debates between author and editor as well as the meeting with the publisher and first reactions to the novel in the highly competitive book trade.
