Ina′s Birthday

It is Ina Handel′s 58th birthday and she strongly becomes aware of her loneliness, when no one comes to celebrate her birthday. The people around her are strangers to her. The only way out seems to be suicide.

Ina′s first hesitating attempt to commit suicide fails. The second attempt - a jumping from a roof - is prevented by a fireman named Karl. He and his colleagues have been called for rescue. After a short stay in the hospital Ina returns home, thinking of Karl.
And Karl is searching for Ina, but he can′t find her. She then stages another suicide attempt. She is standing on the roof, hoping Karl will come to rescue her once again. And Karl really comes.
