Der Feind hört mit

Deutschland 1918 Kurz-Spielfilm

"Der Feind hört mit" is a propaganda film showing the unintentional effects of a negligent comment made by one German radio operator which causes the loss of many German lives. The propaganda film was intended to make soldiers aware of the need for careful and confidential handling of classified information. The slogan "Feind hört mit" (= the enemy is listening) is the German equivalent of "loose lips sink ships".
