Maria Blumencron was born in Vienna/Austria in 1965 and studied Drama at the Vienna Conservatory and Script - writing at the University of Film and Television Munich. After working as an actress for the theater and television, she has been a scriptwriter, director and novelist since 1998. In 2007 she founded the charity organization Shelter 108.
