Lisa Bitter was born in Erlangen in 1984. She majored in cultural studies and journalism at Leipzig University, before enrolling in the acting class of the Leipzig "Hochschule für Musik und Theater Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy" in 2005. During her time a s a student, she made her first stage appearances at the Neue Theater Halle. Since her graduation in 2009, she has been an ensemble member at the Stuttgart State Theatre. In 2009 she played the rebellious daughter of an industry tycoon in the TV miniseries "Laible und Frisch". Following supporting roles in TV productions, she played the female lead in the indie cinema release "Blinde Passagiere" (2010). She then was cast in a starring role in Sönke Wortmann's comedy "Das Hochzeitsvideo", which was released in Spring 2012.
