Müde Weggefährten

Deutschland 1995/1996 TV-Spielfilm

Episode film.

1. Ex-student Dzimi is on the run from the war in Bosnia. At the Serbian-Hungarian border he manages to get on a totally overcrowded westbound train without being noticed. The beginning of an exile lasting several years...

2. The Bosnian restaurant owner Sulejman has lost all he had through the war. On their escape to the West he and his little son end up in a remote small-town in Brandenburg. There he meets a Croatian woman which he believes to know from the past...

3. Muhamed lives in a home for asylum-seekers in Berlin. To earn a little extra money, he wants to sell his experiences in a prison camp to a newspaper. But no one is really interested in his fate…

4. For 30 years, Lazar has been building his house in his home country, but as soon as it is finished, the war breaks out and it burns down to the foundation walls. In his desperation, Lazar swears at a deserter who has barely escaped death on the front.

5. Finally the war is over. Dzimi and others are on their way home. For them it's a journey into the unknown. Only one among them, driver Rade, has profited from other peoples' misery as a winner in this war. He still does this...
