Born in Essen, Germany, in 1982. Following school, he worked for a year as a trainee in a production company making infomercials and short films. He took up studies at the Film Academy Baden-Wurttemberg in Ludwigsburg in 2007. "Do the Right Thing", his documentary about the death penalty in Texas, was shown at the film festival Max Ophüls Preis 2008.
