Esther Bialas was born in Wiesbaden in 1982 and studied Audiovisual Media and Directing in Berlin and Hamburg. Her films include: the shorts "A Late Fame" (2009), "Nichts von Bedeutung" ("Gone Fishing", 2009), "Die Katze tanzt" ("Cat's Dance", 2011), "Landerbeeren" ("Strawberry Fields", 2012), "Stürzende Tauben" ("Tumbling Birds", 2013), two episodes of the TV series "Komm schon!" ("Come On – Therapy for the Undecided", 2015), and her feature debut "Wo kein Schatten fällt" ("Hanna's Homecoming", 2018).
