Born in Gronau in 1974. Worked at the Filmwerkstatt Münster and made short films before studying film directing at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg, from 1998-2005. After receiving a number of prizes for his short films he was awarded the Eastman-Kodak Promotion Prize at the Hof Film Days and the MFG-Star in Baden-Baden for his feature film debut "Parkour".
