Ludwig & Richard

The film Ludwig and Richard makes elaborate use of drawings and puppetry to recount a meeting which was so important for the history of European culture: the meeting between the Bavarian fairy-tale king Ludwig II and the Saxon wizard of musical theatre Richard Wagner.

The world-famous works of the two protagonists, Wagner′s musical dramas and Ludwig′s buildings, reflect the development of their friendship.
