Jan Thüring , born in 1973, made his first short film "The Battle of Waterloo", an epic 3-min animated film with hundreds of Lego puppets, at the age of ten. From 1995-97, he studied Visual Communication at the Fachhochschule Niederrhein. Since 1997, he has been attending the Film Academy Baden-Wuerttemberg as well as working as a storyboard artist, gaining additional artistic experience while working for the German edition of MAD magazine in 1999.
