Born in Frankfurt-on-Main on 3.3.1959, she studied at Offenbach College of Design, during which time she spent a year studying in Florence in 1982. She made her graduation film, "U-Bahn Westberlin", in 1986. She has been working as a freelance illustrator, graphic artist and animation filmmaker since 1987.
