In the mid-nineties, Daniel Haude and Jim Lacy made a string of Super8 short films, often screening them at the ALL NIZO center. For the latter's "Global Super-8 Day" project, they contributed the award-winning commercial "Rattenskat".

In 2002, Haude, Lacy and Kathrin Albers released "Quench", an animated short inspired by the Oscar-nominated short "Quest" (1996).

For "Peters Prinzip", Haude, Lacy and their animation studio Stoptrick won the Skoda Short Film Award at the 2007 International Short Film Festival Berlin as well as the Deutsche Wirtschaftsfilmpreis.
