Born on 18 January 1962 in Krefeld, Germany. From 1989 to 1995 he studied at the German Film and Television Academy (dffb) in Berlin. In 1993 he took advanced courses in Screenwriting and Directing in Moscow. Overweg works as an author, director and editor in Berlin.
