Artur Dieckhoff, born in 1948, completed a typesetter apprenticeship and studied at Hochschule für Bildende Kunst Hamburg. Since then he works as a typesetter, maker of books (for instance "Grundwörter", 1971, in collaboration with Joseph Beuys) and as director of woodcut movies in Hamburg. Besides he is teaching and researching the "black art".
