Michael Hegner was born in 1966. In 1988, he began work as an assistant in the production of commercials and TV series. From 1989-1991, he was an animator and storyboard designer for full-length animated films, including: "Werner I", "Werner II", "Der kleine Punker" and "Jungle Jack". Together with Stefan Fjeldmark, he was responsible for the script, storyboard and direction of "Help! I"m a Fish!".
