Juliane Fezer was born in Heidelberg. After completing school she worked as an assistant director for film and theater. From 1998 - 2004 she studied Directing at the University of Television & Film Munich. During her studies, she founded Julex® Film together with Alexandra Krampe. Her graduation project was the short film "Nach Freiheit" ("For Freedom"). Active as a director and writer, her films also include: the shorts "Jeder geht in sich selbst zuerst", "Nackte Tatsachen", "Hund II", and her feature debut "Meeres Stille" ("Silent Sea").
