Sabine Pollmeier studied Art History and Dramatics in Munich, followed by graduate courses in Documentary Filmmaking and Television Journalism. She has been a director (together with Joachim Haupt) and producer since 1996.

Their films include: "Die Schoenheit der Transparenz" (1996), "Color: Black" (1997), "A Career in Hollywood" (1997), "Heavy Beat and Ready Rhyme" (1999), "HipHop de Luxe" (2001), and "Peppers and Nudes - The Photographer Edward Weston" (2004), "Carl Djerassi - My Life" (2009), the series "Up to the Sky" (2009/2012/2016) and "Kunst im Paradies" ("Art in Paradise", 2018).
