In the GDR, a former camera student who went on to have a career in the diplomatic service disappeared without a trace. The Beecks, who had been friends with him for 16 years, were baffled. With the family album and an old Bolex camera under her arm, the granddaughter Anna sets off on a thrilling search for clues that leads her all the way to the disappeared man’s homeland of Mongolia.
