Born in Berlin in 1966. She received her training at the Bavarian State Academy of Photographic Design in Munich and has worked as a freelance photographer for a number of periodicals including US Vogue, Stern, Elle, The New Yorker and Quest. A resident of Berlin, "Abschied von den Fröschen" marks her directorial debut.
