Biography
Pascale Schmidt was born in Munich in 1960 and grew up in Athens between 1969-79. She studied Philosophy, Psychology and Media Studies in Munich from 1979-82 and attended the Academy for Television & Film (HFF) in Munich from 1983-89 where she made four shorts: "Kleine Briefe", "Sonntag Nachmittag", "Satta", "Der Knacks". She made two films for ZDF"s "Das kleine Fernsehspiel" – "Zwei" (1990) and "Die Phase der Ruhe taeuscht" (1992) - before the documentary "Der Himmel kuesst die Berge" - Maria & Margot Hellwig (1995).
