Phil Davis is best known as an actor in films like "Quadrophenia", "The Firm" and Mike Leigh"s "High Hopes". Previously, he directed a TV film "Skullduggery" from his own script for the BBC as part of their "Screen One" series. He then directed one of the "Fourplay" series for Channel 4 "Deptford Graffitti". He directed the short film "Life"s a Gas" for Channel 4 and British Screen in 1992, making this his second collaboration with writer Vincent O"Connell. "i.d." is his first feature film as director.
