Seven Days

Maryam, a longtime imprisoned Iranian women's rights activist, is unexpectedly granted a one-week medical leave from prison. What begins as a brief reunion with her family soon turns into a turning point: unbeknownst to her, her husband and brother have secretly planned a daring escape. She is to cross the border into Turkey through treacherous, snow-covered mountain paths. The escape succeeds—but once in exile, Maryam faces a profound dilemma: should she start a new life in safety, or return to Iran to continue her fight for women's rights and democratic values, knowing that imprisonment and repression await her?
