Tina von Traben, who was born in 1973, studied German literature, sociology and media communication in Trier. From 1994 on, she gained first-hand experience in filmmaking by working as a line producer and assistant director on several feature film productions. She also worked as TV producer before enrolling in the director's class at the Cologne International Film School in 2002. Following several successful shorts, she completed her first feature-length film, the comedy "Pommes Essen" ("Patty's Catchup"), in 2012.
