Jens Brock
Biography
Jens Brock landed his first acting role completely by chance, without any prior experience. Filmmaker Tim Ellrich noticed him sitting on a park bench in Berlin while preparing for an autobiographical film. Struck by Brock's strong resemblance to his uncle in multiple ways, Ellrich approached him and eventually cast him in the central role of the family member battling schizophrenia. The completed film, "Im Haus meiner Eltern" ("In My Parents' House"), premiered at the Rotterdam Film Festival in 2025, where it won the Tiger Special Jury Award. It was released in German theaters in April 2025.
