Luanas Schwur

Albania, 1958. Headstrong and rebellious Luana comes from a respectable family, but even she cannot defy traditions: Although she secretly loves her best friend Agim, she is to enter into an arranged marriage with Flamur, to whom she has been promised since childhood. When Luana's loving but strict father Gjon learns of his daughter's secret relationship, he wants to arrange the marriage with Flamur as soon as possible, because he must keep the promise he made to Flamur's family. Luana is also ready to bow to this tradition. But when her fiancé Flamur turns out to be domineering and violent, the situation escalates. Luana must learn to take her life into her own hands, even if the personal price she pays is very high.
