Nana Xu was born in China in 1992 and began her artistic journey with a bachelor’s degree in photography, during which she showcased performances and installations across China and Europe. Through these early explorations, she discovered a deep passion for film due to its unique ability to capture, reconstruct, and communicate the subtleties of human perceptions. After arriving in Germany, she began to experiment with different methods and genres of filmmaking and recently completed her studies at the Hochschule für bildende Künste Hamburg.
