This documentary film shows a year in the lives of the residents of the Munich home for homeless men, "Haus an der Kyreinstraße". Although very diverse personalities, the men share the loss of an apartment, a home and ultimately a permanent place in society. They also all fight for self-respect within their dormitory. The institution has implemented strict rules to make sure its residents are safe and maintain their dignity. The men take care of themselves, help each other out and share difficult but also happy moments.
