In the Frame

Trans woman Oxana lives in the Moldovan capital Chișinău, where she paints picture frames hoping to find a way out. For fear of being rejected by society, Oxana leads a double life – with a gender that was assigned to her at birth with which she does not identify. In her attempts to break out of her difficult situation Oxana crosses social and personal boundaries in her transphobic surroundings. When a cross-dressing friend of hers DJs at a queer party Oxana comes out to join him for the first time too.
