Dominic Körtvelyessy was born on August 7, 1990 in Gießen, where he grew up as the youngest of five children. After school, he trained as an IT specialist before he began his film studies at the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences in 2013. After several small experimental films, the short film "Apprehension" was his debut as a director.
