Arnold Trampe was born in Amsterdam in 1952 and studied Psychology, Regional Development, and City Planning at the University of Amsterdam. After working for a provincial government in the Netherlands, he became general manager of a consultancy company that carried out development projects in Eastern European countries, commissioned by the European Union. He also led a large political faction in the council of a midsize town in the Netherlands for several years and was chairman of the board of a theater group. He works and lives in the Netherlands and Istria.
