Theo Kretschmer was born in Berlin in 2012. After gaining some initial experience on stage, he auditioned in 2022 for the children’s and family film "Grüße vom Mars" "Greetings from Mars" and was cast in the leading role of an autistic boy who dreams of becoming an astronaut. For his performance, Kretschmer was awarded Best Actor at the 2024 Goldener Spatz Children's Media Festival. Greetings from Mars premiered in cinemas in May 2025.
