Biography

Ruben Meiller was born on February 28, 2004, in Hamburg. The son of a cellist and a saxophonist, he began playing cello at an early age and won multiple state and national prizes at Jugend musiziert, Germany's leading classical-music competition for young performers. In 2015, at age eleven, he began taking acting lessons and appeared onstage that same year at Hamburg's Operettenhaus, singing the boy-soprano role of Gustave in the musical "Liebe Stirbt nie/Phantom 2".

Ruben Meiller made his screen debut in the feature film "Die Pfefferkörner und der Fluch des Schwarzen Königs" ("The Peppercorns and the Curse of the Black King," 2017), playing a brilliant computer whiz who was one of the main characters. He then reprised the role in Season 14 of the children's detective series "Die Pfefferkörner" (2017), a fixture of German family television. He also had a smaller part in the children's and teen film "Die drei !!!" ("Three !!!") as Michi, the friend of main character Kim (Lilli Lacher).

After appearances in TV series such as "Tatort", "Der Staatsanwalt", and "Die Bergretter", Meiller took on a leading role in Maggie Peren's feature film "Die hellen Tage" ("Bright Days") in 2026. The film is a childhood and coming-of-age story set in the 1960s and based on the novel by Zsuzsa Bánk, with a planned 2027 release.
