Biography

While still a pupil, he also appeared at the Junges Deutsches Theater Berlin in the play "Klassenbuch" (2017-2019, directed by Kristo Šagor) in the central role of an asexual teenager. At the P14 Jugendtheater of the Berliner Volksbühne he took part in "Go Baby, Go" (2019/2020, directed by Zelal Yesilyurt). In August 2019, Tinwa participated in an acting workshop at Tankstelle Berlin, and he also took classes at the Academy Bühnenkunstschule - Alte Feuerwache in Berlin (2019-2020). During this time, he played his first roles in short films and was part of the ensemble of the youth series "Wir sind jetzt" (2019).   

A great success was Tinwa's short film "Verminderte Sicht" ("Reduced Visibility", 2020), which he wrote, produced and directed, and in which he also played a leading role. The film screened at several international festivals. At the Independent Shorts Awards in Los Angeles Tinwa won awards in the categories Best Student Director and Best Student Short. The film's ensemble was also awarded the Platinum Prize for acting. At the IndieX Film Festival in Los Angeles, "Verminderte Sicht" won the May/June Award for Best Student Drama Short.  

After appearances in further short films and a guest role in the TV series "SOKO Kitzbühel", Noah Tinwa appeared in a feature film for the first time: In "The Ordinaries" (2022) he played a teenager in a world divided into a three-class society of "main characters", "minor characters" and "outtakes". While filming, Tinwa was preparing for his graduation from high school.
