Biography
Nikolai Vialkowitsch was born in 1963. While completing his psychology major, he gathered experiences as an assistant director at several theatres and also worked for radio and TV networks. Following an apprenticeship at the Südwestfunk, he began making features and documentaries for the station and several other TV networks.
In 2004, Vialkowitsch founded parallax raumprojektion, a production company dedicated to 3D films, which became a networking hub for directors, cinematographers, editors and graphic designers.
Following several short 3D documentaries commissioned by museums and science institutes, Vialkowitsch directed his first feature-length documentary "Im Krieg", which employs historical, tinted stereoscopic images in a cinematic collage about WWI.
