Nhung Hong was born in Hanoi, Vietnam, in 2002 and grew up in Germany. As she later explained, it would be "simply a lie" to say that she "always wanted to be an actress". The reason: "As a little Vietnamese girl, I didn't see a girl on German television who looked like me. That's the reason why I never saw myself in this industry." After graduating from high school, Hong was given a leading role in the award-winning youth series "Druck" in 2020, in which she played the role of school beauty Kieu My in 28 episodes until 2022. In the following years, Hong appeared in leading and supporting roles in other TV productions, for example in the ensemble of the Christmas film "Ein Taxi zur Bescherung" (2022), as a trainee in the series "Hotel Mondial" (2023), as a café owner in "Kanzlei Liebling Kreuzberg" (2024) and as the secret lover of a murder victim in "Der Kommissar und der See - In besseren Kreisen" (2024). Nhung Hong played her first leading cinema role in "Mädchen Mädchen" (2025), a remake of the 2001 teen classic of the same name.
