Biography
Marietta Kesting was born in Berlin on June 30, 1979. She studied photography at Bennington College, Vermont, and cultural studies at the Humboldt University in Berlin. In 2002 she worked as an editorial assistant at Magnum Photos, New York. That same year, she made her short film "Photo-Roman" (Photo novel). Since 2008, she has worked at the Institut für Zeitgeschichte in Vienna. "Sunny Land" is Marietta Kesting’s first feature film.
