Lotte Engels was born in 2009 in Cologne, Germany. In 2022, without any acting experience, she participated in a casting for the children's movie "Kannawoniwasein!" ("What the Finn?!") and was chosen for the leading role of an adventurous girl who goes on an eventful journey with a boy two years her junior.
