Lena Watson, a stage name inspired by her idol Emma Watson, is the the young leading actress from "The Trouble With Being Born". As the director Sandra Wollner explains, Watson, who plays a child android named Elli, wore a silicone mask and a wig during filming, on the one hand to protect her identity (the film implies that Elli also serves as a sex robot for her human "father"), and on the other hand to create a resemblance to another actress in the film. In consultation with her and her parents, she was referred to only by the name Lena Watson in all public screenings, announcements, and publications about the film. According to the filmmakers, these measures are intended to keep her privacy fully protected. However, Lena Watson attended the premiere of the film at the Berlinale 2020 (without mask).
