Biography

Juliette Cazanave was born in 1966 in Paris. She studied History in Madrid, followed by studies in Art History and Film History in Paris. She then transferred to the German Film & Television Academy (dffb) in Berlin. She has worked as a production assistant, editing assistant, news editor and director"s assistant. Her films include: "Paris-Berlin" (short, 1994), "Sweets and Lipsticks" (short, 1995), "A propos des arbres" (short, 1995), "The Green Room" ("Die gruene Bude", documentary, 1996), "Toilet" ("Klo", short, 1997), and "Ailleurs si j"y suis" (documentary, 1998) - winner of the First Prize at the Filmfest Potsdam. "Nicole and Jean" ("Nicole und Jean", 2001) is her graduation film from the dffb.
