Biography
Joey Arand works at the intersection of contemporary art and film. Her multi-award-winning works deal with social topics like identity or physical compulsions. She draws her strength and poetry from a momentum of exploration, from experience and from documentary material.
In 2017, she received a scholarship for a residence in Willingshausen, and in 2019 for the "Cité des Arts" on la Réunion. From 2018 to 2023, she taught at the Kunsthochschule Kassel.
