Biography
Hagen Wiel has been working on media art for the past years. He has made sculptures in the field of robotic perception, photography, numerous video installations, experimental films and documentaries. At the moment he is working together with the philosopher Konstanze Schwarzwald in the field of empractical body intelligence, as he has developed a method called "empractical filmmaking". On this topic he is presently teaching the course "Experimente des Leibes" at the art Academy in Leipzig. He has studied at the Academy of Visual Art in Leipzig (HGB) and at the University of Wales Institute (UWIC) in Cardiff / UK. He completed his "Master of fine Arts" at the Academy of Visual Art, Leipzig in 2009.
